A Gift from Norway: Honoring American’s Courage at Lexington and Concord

As a Norwegian and a Friend to the American People, I offer this Tribute in the continued Celebration of America’s 250th Birthday. The Spirit of 1776 ignited a Flame of Liberty that inspired the World, and perhaps nowhere was that Spirit more beautifully captured than in the extraordinary Film “April Morning” with Tommy Lee Jones, which I present as today’s Gift to the American People. This Masterpiece brings to Life the pivotal Events of April 19, 1775, when brave Patriots stood against Tyranny and fired “the shot heard ’round the World” that birthed a Nation of Freedom.
